Deena
Warner
Graphic Designer
In May of 1998, Deena Warner graduated
from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte magna
cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration
& Graphic Design. While there, she refined her skills
by working part-time for the school newspaper, The University
Times, as both the layout editor and arts & entertainment
editor. Deena later joined the photography firm C. Harrison
Conroy Company as a photo retoucher and typesetter.
She has also worked as a proofreader/designer for M.A.R.
Reporting Group, a court reporting firm in northern
Virginia.
Deena joined the Acuity team in July 1998.
Within the time she has been with Acuity, she has been
instrumental in expanding our services. Along with her
proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and QuarkXPress,
Deena has expanded her expertise with Flash, Director
and web programming which has helped grow the Acuity
interactive services division.
An active participant in the publishing
community, Deena has displayed her artwork at conventions
in New York City and Phoenix. Her illustrations have
been published on books by authors such as Gary Braunbeck,
Brian Keene and Peter Crowther, in several magazines,
and on CD covers and movie posters. She manages websites
for over twenty clients including Earthling Publications
and the Jazz Museum in Harlem.
